Anyway, today is a greattttt day! :D And it begins in a small, quaint and cozy school named Orchid Park. The Secondary 4s had their next-to-last final prelims, for a very small few of us, we had our Lit prelim, paper 2: A Midsummer Night Dream.

Didn't go too bad, must remark that everyone else was in a better mood after the paper comparing to the first one (that was an irreversable disaster). Anyway, afterward, Charlotte, Azira, Zhi Qing and I wanted to watch movies. For the first two of the former, they wanted to watch The Ugly Truth, for the rest of us, it was Inglorious Basterds.

Though seemingly impossible, cause well, IB was M18 (bloody merde!), it was not, for Operation Basterd was underway for ZQ and I. We did manage to watch it, after missing about perhaps 4 minutes of the start of the show, what a tragic waste. But anyway, we had an amazing time watching IB, in a cozy little red theatre, set in the middle of NAZI-OCCUPIED FRANCE. We lived.

I have to say, IB is really impressive! Despite the gore and violence (which, i'faith do not believe it's THAT much as my brother proclaims [and HE plays VIOLENT PS3/CPU games whose daily shootout sounds make me feel like I live in Detroit]), it had a rather pleasant and powerful way to act out a not-so-perfect storyline.

The cinematic shots, dynamic camera angles (during the desperate moments of the show), the sudden change of scenes and music, the crude and raucous humour injected into it. It's beautiful! I have to say, this is really quite a funny and interesting show. I'm so gonna get the DVD when it's out.

And SPOILER ALERTS! AVERT YOUR EYES IF YOU WISH NOT TO SEE THEM!

Colonel Hans Landa. Portrayed by Christoph Waltz. His acting: Superb. I love him! The way he shows himself as a bastardly (no pun), villianous antagonist is seriously awesome. He effectively portrays a distinct "love-me-or-hate-me" person, and he's got a rather mysterious and sinister personality to him. Even his dialogue (written by Quentin Tarantino) was incredibly hilarious and quirky in some sense. Handsome, devious, controlling, sadistic, cruel, suave (yes!), what's there not to like in this guy?

Like how he excitedly giggles in glee and proclaims "That's a bingo!" before being corrected, and ultimately ending with "BINGO! What fun! But, I digress. Where were we?" His scene with Diane Kruger was brilliant as well, fantastic and believing acting, I swear. No one should ever die like that... That's cruel (and unglam in some ways).

I like him. :D

Yes, this reinforces the fact I ALWAYS like the bad guy (provided he's cute / interesting / different from other stereotypical bad/good guys). But screw that, HANS LANDA FT(fecking)W! I do notice he is an instant hit with ladies in other online communities. See what beautiful charm this fellow has? And his German and French accents! WOO!

Oh, and the bear jew. Beware the bear jew, he'll be obligated to go all bear jew on your ass if you're willing to die for your country (if you're German in that show, good luck). There are even bear jew facts. Oh dear lord...

Siggghhhh, I'd so watch that movie again. Seriously, seriously. But the downside to it all is that I will NEVER look at Hitler and Joesph Goebbels the same way ever again. EVER. It's a bad thing because my HISTORY O LEVELS is apporaching. Despite its historical inaccuracy in IB, I quite like the Hitler and Goebbels in that one more. Oh, ZQ what have I let you drag me into? xD


In the meantime, one more prelim and then it'll be back-to-school, then study break... Then the big Oooohh my fecking god. Sigh, it seems all so fast and overwhelming. But we can survive this war. Yeeessss we can, and bring in good grades like scalps from Nazis. WE CAN DO THIS! Or we will die trying.

The countdown for the O's has begun. Well, it's a half-truth, the real truth is that it begun a long, long, LONG time ago. But I've been too busy (another lie, too lazy) to blog about it. This blog seems fruitless now in light of the O Levels'.

Who cares about my life? I wonder if I myself do too. In any other case, revision and studying for prelims is seemingly not going so well. Heck, the prelims didn't go that well either in my own case. Still treating it like a normal exam where if I don't know the answer, I adopt a laissez-faire attitude and dismiss it with an indifferent and uncaring grin, why worry? They'll give us the answers and I'll learn from there!

... That's an exaggeration to tell the truth. I admit I did have that attitude when it came to Mathematics (A and E) but for my other subjects, I had it bbaaaaaaaaddddd. I was stressed, especially for Physics and Literature P1. Oui, that was bad. Pity, I felt I could have done WAY better.

On another note, we've got 5 days (or actually 4, today's gone to waste in terms of studying) to relax and study for the remaining prelims. And then 2 weeks of school and getting our prelim results back, and then we break for our 2 weeks of Study Leave (inclusive of Graduation Day and O Level Practicals) and then finally.

For three gruelling and hellish weeks, my dear amis, the nightmarish O Levels, and after that, we've pulled ourselves out of hell and into the meadows of freedom and blissful happiness. 4/5 years of secondary education. Finished.

In just (not counting this year; and following MY O Level schedule [idk about yours]) 8 weeks, our whole sec school lives come to an end. A toast to the thrilling rollercoaster ride of Secondary School education we had.

It's been just too fast hasn't it?


On another note, Nicolette, Praise and Zhi Qing came to my house today. Sarah dropped by before leaving. They had absolute fun with my dog (or at most, Nicolette, who tricked my dog so many BLOODY times). We ordered pizza and whilst waiting for it to arrive, we (argubly: stupidly) watched Ratatouille when we were hungry. Inclusive of sparking our appetites, I was more intrigued and eager to learn French.

Ah, Paris.

Till the after-O's, then. Hm, should start making a list of what to do, buy and eat after the O's. Two months of funfunfun! Should go back to revising soon. But for now, Futurama!
