Our first Literature gathering! :D [held @ school, watched AMSND movie - 1999 version]

WARNING: WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ CONTAINS A SERIOUS LOAD OF LITERATURE STUFF... SO YOU MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND IF YOU DON'T TAKE LITERATURE... OR WATCHED AMSND.

And the best part was that we knew most of the quotes of what they said! But the greatest part was that we ruined the whole freaking show our captions and alternate scenarios!

And it resulted in Mrs Rupesh never wanting to go out with us! Ever! :D

But anyway, after school ended, we all went out to go buy our snacks & chips & movie edibles, crapped around till 3.30 when we all met at the foyer before we went into CR1 to watch the movie.

Truthfully, I didn't expect the movie to turn out the way I thought it would turn out. The movie was set in some old, Victorian age (where everyone friggin' rode bicycles and friggin' wore suits and coats and victorian hats & dresses and where everyone was a friggin' lechorous leech), but still nonetheless, it was a pleasant starting. We were surprised at the Theseus and Hippolyta because... they were Victorian.

The setting of this ATHENS was different. And the first scene of chaos literally took place in a room (like the Duke's study room or something). But when Egeus was addressing Demetrius, a very handsome fellow stood up, than Lysander stood up when Egeus called on him. When the camera zoomed in on that Demetrius, I was instantly smitten.

MY GOD, DEMETRIUS WAS PORTRAYED BY CHRISTIAN BALE, Mr. Batman from Batman Returns and The Dark Knight! =OOOOO DUDEEE!!! He was so freaking hottt!!! :DDDD

So you can imagine I spent the rest of the whole show squealing in sheer love whenever it was his scene. Man, if I was Helena I'd be throwing myself at that hot guy as well. XD Haha, I'm a shallow bitch... (Nah, maybe not. But Christian Bale was really hot).

Show progressed on, we cracked jokes at the actors and stuff... And we all agreed we didn't like that Bottom in the movie... But that Flute (played by Sam Rockwell) was a cute guy as well. XD

But when it got to the fairy scene, we were appalled that Puck was old, bald and ... had horns. I mean, I always imagined him to be... a young child with sprite wings... but... wow. And the craziest part was that the 4 lovers were all on bicycle travel in the woods. How... intriguing. The movie was seriously 'racist' enough to make the INDIAN child have BLUE SKIN (the fux?!) and have a "chinese slave"... how harsh. XD

But oh yeah, Oberon was so hot and sexy. In some scenes, he was covered in body glitter and sweat... LOL! Us girls got all sly and lechorous, going "Oooh, sparkly and sweaty, I like!" Muhahaha... In the end, we got to see PHILOSTRATE!!! -fangirl squeal- Haha, he was so *gorgeous* and *pretty* that Mrs Rupesh even joked along with us that next year, for our O Levels', a 25-mark question would be coming out on Philostrate... ("Describe Philostrate" - He's a hot, horny bastard who everyone loves and has written some very hardcore XXX-porn books XD)

Haha, inside-literature-class joke. XDDDD

But throughout the movie, there were times where the computer hiberated and the screen went to screensaver mode. The first time, Mrs Rupesh was outside the class, so what happened was:

1st time-

Mrs Rupesh was not around.
Us: -watching movie intensely-
Computer: -switches to screensaver mode-
Us: AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! -panics-
... After a moment, Mrs Rupesh came back in to type in her password and we resumed the show.

2nd time-

Mrs Rupesh was around
Us: -watching movie, cracking jokes-
Computer: -switches to screensaver mode-
Us: Ah! SHIT!
Mrs Rupesh moved the mouse around for a while, movie resumed.

3rd time-

Mrs Rupesh was around
Us: -watching movie-
Computer: -switches to screensaver mode-
Us: AH! AHHH! AHHH!!!
Mrs Rupesh: >:/ ... -moves mouse, movie resumes-

... Days of our lives.

But in the end, the show was alright I guess. It wasn't 1000% what I expected, but it was still alright. We clapped and *woke up*... Before congradulating the mechanics on their "Certicate of Participation" and moving off.

BUT EIGHT YEARS LATER, US LIT STUDENTS WILL BE GOING TO ATHENS!!! And we're gonna ride bicycles, venture into the forest, and camp until morning until we see naked people sleeping on grass. =D Let's get washing those cars and raising thousands of dollars for our trip! :DDDDD
