Yesterday night was such an awesome night!

So Nicolette told me that Amanda invited me to her church for a Valentine's Day Dinner. Sadly I was at Suntec City and it was rather a last-minute thing so I kinda held them up (sorry, people) while they waited for me.

So the dinner was for youths, so no sign of parents. And it was awesome! They had band performances from the LHC, which I must say was really amazing. Closest I ever got to a band, next to MCR but yeah, it was still fun!

Then there was the fud! (Food) They served up mushroom soup, hamburgers, fries, salad and ice-cream. It was all so good, and I was seriously worrying what was I supposed to do when I first entered the church... Haha... It felt so awkward but the atmosphere soon felt comforting.

After the whole concert was over, Amos started explaining to me the whole meaning of the concert, about how God loves us and that there nice stuff. It was sweet, really sweet.

Haha, I remember when he was explaining what the metaphor between the ice lemon tee drink is compared to our lives. It was like we try adding sugar to our lives to taste sweeter, but it can only help so much. And then I questioned him about the lemon in the drink.

Amos: ... So it shows how God loves us the way we are.
Me: Ooh... So what's the lemon represent?
Amos: ... :/ Uhh it's just a lemon.
Me: Oh. I thought it was something sour in our lives...
Amos: *nodding* Ha, but it's just a lemon.
Me: *staring at lemon*

We joked around and laughed a bit more before one guy started talking to me. His name was Lynus ( THAT IS SUCH A COOL NAME! ) and we talked about stuff and stuff and more stuff, until I found out he was from Singapore Poly even though he looked so much like a Sec school student.

I'm serious... O__O

Nicolette had to leave, so I left with her and took a cab back. But I must admit, it was such a fun night. It was so weird but fun, with the MC giving very lame pick-up lines, and I met the Acoustic Guitarist of the band (he was nice!) and overall, yeah I really loved it.

Because comparing this to a lonely night of doing nothing, this is hell better.
